Our History
Fleming & Fleming, P.C. was started by James B. Fleming in 1991. Mr. Fleming, a native of Jackson, had worked for both a large-size Detroit law firm and a mid-size Grand Rapids law firm, and wanted to bring his knowledge and his commitment to the law to his hometown. He was joined by his father, James G. Fleming, in 1993. The senior Mr. Fleming was Judge of the 4th Circuit Court from 1975 to 1993 and served the 19th District on the Michigan State Senate from 1967 to 1974.
James B. Fleming’s wife, Anne D. Fleming, replaced his father when she joined the practice in 1995. James G. Fleming enjoys off-counsel status with the firm.
